Toyota vrea sa atace pietele emergente printr-un model super low-cost. Acesta va fi lansat cel mai tarziu in 2009 si va fi produs in India, acolo unde Toyota isi extinde uzina actuala, care are o capacitate de 60.000 de unitati pe an, si care in cateva luni va ajunge la 160.000.<\/p>\n

Cealalta tara candidata la gazduirea low-cost-ului Toyota este Brazilia, insa sansele sunt extrem de mici ca japonezii sa se indrepte spre statul sud-american.<\/p>\n

Noul model, care se va bate pe aceeasi piata cu low-cost-urile fabricate de Tata, Hyundai si chiar Renault (cu Logan-ul indian), va costa circa 100.000 de rupii (aproximativ 2500 de dolari).<\/p>\n
